Yellow cedar wood

Yellow cedar wood grows in the coastal areas of the western slopes of the British Columbia BC mountain range and nearby islands in Alaska, Canada. It is rarely grown alone, usually in scattered or mixed with Pacific fir and western hemlock. Cork trees are medium in size and are rare but very beautiful trees. They are tough and strong, extremely durable, and are known for their slow growth and long life. Ideal for use in locations where high strength or natural durability is required. They are commonly used to build outdoor bridges, deckings, bottom planks, stairs, and beautification of the courtyard. Cork is also often found in environmentally sensitive areas, such as reservoir decks and railway sleepers that span water flow, as chemically treated products cannot be used in these locations. Cork is capable of withstanding traffic and load shocks due to its strength, hardness, stability, durability and excellent wear resistance without causing bulging or cracking. Due to its smooth wear resistance, weather resistance and long service life, Cork is sometimes used to make seats for outdoor sports facilities.
